WHAT THIS ROAD HOLDS
There is love at home.
Love & Alliance is one of six Roads through the fictional world of CWADM—a way into love, marriage, attraction, intimacy, devotion, partnership, longing, and the relationships people build lives around.
Across CWADM, love does not wait for the rest of life to become convenient. Relationships exist alongside family, ambition, grief, responsibility, work, status, danger, memory, and power. People fall in love, remain in love, desire one another, disappoint one another, make promises, keep some, break others, and learn what it means to be deeply known by another person.
Some of that intimacy is quiet: a remembered preference, a private joke, a letter, a hand offered without asking. Some of it carries considerably more heat. What matters is that affection, desire, and partnership belong to the characters rather than existing simply to satisfy a formula.
CWADM can be deeply romantic without asking every story to behave like a conventional romance novel.

Marriage can be tender, funny, sensual, difficult, political, practical, or all of those before breakfast. Devotion does not require perfection. Intimacy can expose flaws as readily as it provides refuge. And loving someone deeply does not make either person smaller.
